Software Quality Assurance

Muni-Link, LLC is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team at our corporate office in the Altoona, PA area. This hybrid position requires 3 days per week in the office working alongside our dynamic development team.

We’re looking for a mid-to senior-level QA professional who can ensure the quality and user experience of both our dynamic PHP utility billing applications and modern software solutions.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop comprehensive test strategies for new features and regression testing across dynamic PHP applications and modern web platforms
  • Execute thorough testing of web applications and APIs, including functional, integration, and negative testing scenarios
  • Assess business requirements and translate them into detailed test plans, test cases, and automated scripts
  • Perform end-to-end testing with a keen focus on user experience consistency and cohesiveness
  • Identify edge cases and perform negative testing to ensure robust application behavior

Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Participate in discovery and design phases of new feature development to identify potential quality issues early
  • Work closely with developers and Business Analysts in an agile environment to ensure the testability of new features
  • Provide clear, detailed bug reports and collaborate on resolution strategies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and development workflows
  • Assist with end-user documentation and training materials as needed

Technical Skills

  • 3-5+ years of software quality assurance experience
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
  • Proven experience testing web applications and REST APIs
  • Experience working with both dynamic PHP systems and modern web technologies
  • Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Experience with negative testing and edge case identification

Soft Skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative and goal-setting capabilities

Experience & Tools

  • Experience working as part of an agile development team
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks
  • API testing experience (Postman, REST clients)

Additional Skills

  • Understanding of UX/UI principles and user experience testing
  • Experience with database testing and SQL queries
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience troubleshooting applications hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Utility billing software or similar domain experience
  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office (Altoona, PA), 2 days remote
